The METIOR.PRO extension is a product feature first, and a data-collection system second.

What the extension does

The METIOR.PRO Chrome extension is a construction intelligence companion. It lets you save a product, price, supplier, webpage, or selected text into your METIOR account, add a captured product to an estimate or project, and ask METIOR about the current page.

When information is collected

The extension does not scan your browsing history or read webpages in the background. Contextual page information is captured only after you take an action such as Save this product, Save webpage, Ask METIOR about this page, or a matching right-click menu item.

Information we process

• Required: METIOR account identifiers, extension installation id and version, and information you explicitly send (product name, SKU, displayed price, supplier, URL, selected text, or an AI question about the page).
• Optional analytics: feature usage, errors, and performance, only if you opt in. Analytics events do not store full page HTML or selected text.
• Optional personalization: products, suppliers, and materials you save, used to improve recommendations in METIOR.
• Optional research: anonymized, aggregated construction browsing insights, only with a separate opt-in. Individual browsing is never provided to suppliers.

Permissions

At installation the extension requests storage, access to the active tab after you click, scripting to read that tab, context menus, and host access only to METIOR app and API origins. Access to a supplier website is requested when you capture that page, not for every site up front.

Consent and choices

Functional capture is required to operate the extension after you sign in. Analytics, personalization, and research are optional, versioned, and can be changed from Privacy choices in the extension. You may ask METIOR to delete captured products and pages, disable optional consent, or request account-data deletion at info@metior.pro.

Retention and this policy

Saved products and pages are kept as operational project data. Analytics events are retained for a limited period. Raw webpage content is not kept indefinitely. This disclosure is part of the METIOR.PRO Privacy Policy and Data Processing terms. The Chrome extension is a collection and processing channel within that framework.
